When Outlook is configured with Exchange Server and Cached Exchange Mode is enabled, a file is created on the user’s end (locally) called the OST file and this OST file is replicated in an EDB file stored within Exchange Server. The main use of the OST files come when the server faces some downtime problems due to some technical faults. In this case, the user can access their email or other data stored in OST file. Sometimes the OST file faces some technical issues like incorrect synchronization by which it becomes inaccessible and it generates an Outlook error. This comes formally in OST file when the incorrect synchronization triggers to mailbox access error. When the Outlook occurs this error a message is displayed in message box like this:
“Error 0x8004010F: Outlook data file can’t be accessed”
